Amanda Alice Roth (Rhodes) (7 January 1876 – 27 February 1986) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Amanda Roth was born on a farm near Camden, Indiana, USA on 7 January 1876 as one of five daughters to Allen Rhodes and Elizabeth Dilling. Amanda's mother died when she was young and she, along with her younger sister Rosa, became a teacher. At some point in time, between 1880 and 1900 (based on census data) the sisters changed their family name from "Rhodes" to "Roth". Amanda also worked as a bookkeeper before retiring. She was a retired cashier and a former bank clerk of the Farmers Bank in Camden now the Camden State Bank and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Camden. Amanda Roth never married and later in life moved to a nursing home in Flora, Indiana, where she shared a room with Rosa. Amanda and Rosa both lived to be centenarians, Rosa dying at the age of 102 in 1982.

Amanda Roth died in Flora, Indiana, USA on 27 February 1986 at the age of 110 years, 51 days.
