Amelia Schmidt (née Duttman; 7 September 1875 – 17 February 1986) was a verified American supercentenarian. She was born Amelia Duttman in a log cabin just outside of Garnavillo, Iowa, as one of nine siblings. Her family was of German ancestry. When Schmidt was 17, she became a schoolteacher.

She married Charles Schmidt, a German immigrant laborer, around 1896. The couple had two children in total. She worked as a taylor, and became well known in her area for her knitting and sewing. Charles died in 1918.

Schmidt was living at home until she was 97, when she had to undergo a gallbladder operation. She then moved to Riverview Care Center in Gutenberg, Iowa. When she was 109, it was mentioned that her hearing and eyesight was bad. Her son Milton was still alive at the time. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and visiting church. When asked what it feels like being the oldest Iowan, she said that she felt honoured.
