Andja Peric [Croatian: Anđa Perić] (née Punda; 13 October 1910 – 7 February 2019) was a Croatian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Croatia at the time of her death.

Biography

Peric was born in Split-Dalmatia County, Austria-Hungary (now Croatia) on 13 October 1910. She married Duje Peric and had three children. She never attended school and the first time she visited a doctor was when she was 100, when she had to have a hip operation. Her husband died in 1980s.

On her 107th birthday in 2017, she had four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Ten months prior to her 108th birthday in 2018, her brother died at the age of 96 years. According to her son, Vlade, she worked a lot during her life, she mainly ate homemade food and loved meat and wine. She suffered from pneumonia once during her life.

She became the oldest known living person in Croatia, following the death of 110-year-old Nina Valjalo on 29 October 2018.

Peric died in Kotlenice, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia at 8:30 AM on 7 February 2019 at the age of 108 years, 117 days.
