Annie Bernice (Bernice) Wallace (née French) (born 25 March 1907) is an American supercentenarian whose claim is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is one of the oldest known people in the state of Texas.
Bernice Wallace was born Annie Bernice French on 25 March 1907 in Arkansas, USA to parents William and Rosa Ann (née Lesley) French. She was the sixth of ten children. Despite being born in Arkansas, she has lived in Garland, Texas for the vast majority of her life, moving there at the age of nine.
In 1927, she married Ike Edward Wallace in Texas. On 3 December 1939, the couple had a son, who they named Donald Edward "Don" Wallace. In 1954, Bernice became a member of the First Christian Church of Garland (Disciples of Christ), and is still an active member, attending services every Sunday with her friend, Gayla Armstrong.
In recent years, Bernice developed arthritis, and as a result, could not drive herself to church any longer. Arthritis also hindered her ability to crochet baby blankets and to embroider. In her early centenarian years, she enjoyed watching television and reading her favourite magazines. As of her 110th birthday, she has one grandchild and five great-grandchildren.
Bernice Wallace currently lives in a nursing home in Garland, Texas, at the age of 110 years, 298 days.
