Clara Margaret Wenzelburger (6 July 1906 – 2 April 2017) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in Pennsylvania when she died.
Clara Wenzelburger was born on 6 July 1906 in Pennsylvania to parents Johann Frederick 'John' Wenzelburger (who was born in Germany) and Anna Christina (née Knecht) Wenzelburger. She had one brother, Alvin, and three sisters, Freda, Marie, and Edna. She never married nor had children.
When Clara was 107, she was asked her secret to a long life. She replied that most of her family had lived long lives (her father lived to be 84, her mother to 62, her siblings to 78, 88, 60 and 68 respectively), but she said that never getting married was the key to her longevity.
Clara Wenzelburger passed away on 2 April 2017 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, USA, at the age of 110 years, 270 days. She was buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery in McKees Rocks.
