Dora Hand (11 July 1893 – 2 January 2004) was a verified American supercentenarian. She was born in Illinois and died in Oklahoma.
Dora Hand was born on 11 July 1893 in Masodina, Illinois. She was 6 weeks old when the family moved to Hootentown, Missouri. That town was founded by her grandfather, Ben Hooten.
Her first marriage was to Charles Jaqua in 1912, but the marriage didn't last long. Charles died in a flu epidemic in 1918. Dora and her 3 children then moved to her parents' home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Her second marriage was to James "Jim" Hand. The family moved to and settled in Talala, Oklahoma. Her husband ran a grocery store there. Sadly, Jim passed away in 1952, but Dora continued to live in the house for another 45 years, until she was 104, when she moved to a nursing home.
Dora Hand died on 2 January 2004 at the age of 110 years, 175 days.
