Elisabeth Marie Louise Frenoy (née Popelin) (born 7 February 1907) is a French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Elisabeth Frenoy was born Elisabeth Popelin on 7 February 1907 in Marne, Grand Est, France to parents Rene and Germaine (née Bellanger) Popelin. She had a brother, Jean Popelin, who was born in 1901. Her mother died in 1923 aged just 44. On 29 June 1929, she married Pierre Frenoy, but never had children with him.
On 11 March 1953, Elisabeth's father Rene passed away aged 85. Pierre passed away on 5 June 1982, a few weeks before what would have been the couple's 53rd wedding anniversary. He was 79 years old when he died. Elisabeth's brother Jean later lived to be 105 years old, dying on 16 October 2006.
Elisabeth Frenoy currently lives in Chalons-en-Champagne, Marne, Grand Est, France, at the age of 117 years, 71 days. She is currently the 22nd-oldest known person in France.
