Elsie Marie Thomspon (née Calvert) (5 April 1899 - 21 March 2013) was a validated supercentenarian who was believed to be the oldest American from 2 January 2013 until her own death. However, Gertrude Weaver was later validated to have been born earlier. She was the last validated Florida citizen born in the 1800s and the fifth validated oldest person in the world. She died as the joint-95th oldest validated person in history (along with Miriam Carpelan), aged 113 years, 350 days.
