Clara Anderson (née Tallman; 2 July 1905 – 12 September 2016) was a validated American supercentenarian who was the oldest known living person in Alaska at the time of her death.
Biography
Clara Anderson was born as Clara Tallman in Winnigan, Missouri on 2 July 1905, as the daughter of Charles and Clara Belle (Morgan) Tallman. Her mother died when she was young and her father remarried.
Anderson moved to Oregon and married a man named Victor O'Herliney on 5 June 1930 and had a daughter, Marylee, in 1931. She later divorced her husband and married a man named Einar Anderson in Multnomah, Oregon on 9 August 1963. Her husband died in 1969. She later moved to Alaska.
Anderson died in Homer, Alaska, on 12 September 2016 at the age of 111 years, 72 days. She is the oldest known person to ever die in the U.S. state of Alaska.
