Daisy Driss (née Axelrod; 1 January 1907 – 5 November 2017) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Daisy Driss was born as Daisy Axelrod in Chicago, Illinois, on 1 January 1907. She was the youngest of nine daughters. She got a teaching job in 1927, and was forced to retire at the age of 65 in 1972. She was married to Stuart Driss, and the couple had no children.
Driss lived in Chicago her entire life. She was a lifelong Democrat, and in 2016 she voted in a presidential election for the 21st time. She died in Chicago, Illinois, on 5 November 2017 at the age of 110 years, 308 days.
