Lucia Prata (née Canzano; 20 October 1883 – 15 October 1994) was a validated Italian-American supercentenarian.
Biography
Lucia Prata was born as Lucia Canzano in Abruzzo, Italy on 20 October 1883. She emigrated to Rochester, United States in 1916. She married Francesco Prata and got two daugthers. When Prata turned 100, she got letters of congratulations from President Ronald Reagan and Greece Supervisor Donald Riley. She claimed that olive oil and garlic were her secrets of longevity. Lucia Prata died in Park Hope Nursing Home in New York, United States on 15 October 1994 at the age of 110 years, 360 days. At the time of her death she had 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, up to 18 great-great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-great-grandchildren. Her daughter Anna Bell died in December 2020 at age 103.
