Ludwika Wasowicz [Polish: Ludwika Wąsowicz] (1 May 1905 – 28 December 2014) was a Polish centenarian who was the oldest living person in Poland at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Ludwika Wasowicz was born in present-day Subcarpathia Voivodeship. She moved to Szczecin, West Pomerania Voivodeship in 1946. Reportedly, she worked hard throughout her life, firstly on a farm and later, after arrival to Szczecin, in a laundry, hospital, sanatorium and, eventually, on her own garden. She had four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. At the time of her death, she was the oldest person in Poland following the passing of Józefa Bąk of Kielce.

Wasowicz died in Szczecin, West Pomerania, Poland on 28 December 2014 at the age of 109 years, 241 days.
