Margaret J. Bly (née Corrigan; 28 June 1894 – 4 August 2004) was a validated Irish-American supercentenarian.

Biography

Margaret Corrigan was born on 28 June 1894, in County Donegal, Ireland (then United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland). She came to the United States at the age of six and lived in Revere, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, for most of her life.

She was named Miss Revere Beach in 1912, before marrying Beldon G. Bly and having three children. Bly was a volunteer for the Visiting Nurses Association and a member of the Revere Women’s Club and Dartmouth Women’s Club. During the First World War, she made bandages for the American Red Cross. The organisation later created the Margaret J. Bly Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service in honour of her 65 years work with the organisation.

Margaret Bly died in Revere, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA, on 4 August 2004, at the age of 110 years, 37 days.
