Matilda Rogers (née Standley; 16 March 1852? – 30 August 1962) was an American supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Matilda Rogers was born as Matilda Standley in Wapello, Iowa, USA as the daughter of William and Matilda Ausmus Standley. The family moved to Illinois shortly after her birth and later moved to Missouri.

She married Jacob C. Rogers in Missouri in 1871 and the couple had six children. The family moved to Nebraska in the mid-1880s and in 1894 settled in Selden, Kansas.

Rogers was widowed in 1935. She broke her hip shortly before her 100th birthday in 1952 and was featured on televison at the age of 104.

Rogers died in Selden, Kansas, USA on 30 August 1962, supposedly aged 110 years, 167 days.
