Giuseppina Projetto-Frau (born 30 May 1902) is a validated Italian supercentenarian who has been the oldest living person in Italy since the death of Marie-Josephine Gaudette on 13 July 2017, the oldest living Italian-born person since the death of Emma Morano on 15 April 2017, and the oldest living person in Europe since the death of Ana Vela-Rubio on 15 December 2017. She is currently the third-oldest living person in the world.
Projetto was born in 1902 in La Maddalena, Sardinia, Italy. Her father’s name was Cicillo, and she had four siblings. She married Giuseppe Frau and the couple had three children in total. Around 1946, Giuseppina moved to the Florence on mainland Italy, where she still resides today with one of her daughters, Julia.
On 30 May 2017, Projetto celebrated her 115th birthday, making her the first Sardinian person and the third Italian overall to reach the age of 115. She is the last surviving validated person born in 1902.
