Jessie Mae Kettering (née Frisbie; 17 January 1888 – 11 May 2000) was a validated American supercentenarian.
Biography
Jessie Kettering was born as Jessie Mae Frisbie in Sac County, Iowa, United States on 17 January 1888. Her parents were Frederick Soloman Frisbie and Sarah Ada Scandrett. She married Howard L Kettering, and had three children. Her husband died in 1964. Kettering drove a car until the day before her 100th birthday. In 1994, she celebrated her 106th birthday with a dance, waltzing to "I Love You Truly". On her 110th birthday in 1998, when asked for the secret to her longevity, she said "I think God must have forgotten about me."
Jessie Kettering died in Lake View, Iowa, United States on 11 May 2000 at the age of 112 years, 115 days.
