Jesus Castillo Rangel (24 October 1896? – 20 December 2017) was a Mexican longevity claimant and alleged leader in the Mexican revolution (c.1910–1920). His age is currently unvalidated by the Guinness World Records (GWR).
Biography
Castillo Rangel was allegedly born on 24 October 1896 in Soconusco, Chiapas, Mexico. He claims he fought in the Mexican revolution alongside revolutionary leaders Venustiano Carranza and Emiliano Zapata.
Castillo Rangel reportedly met his wife, Fidencia Morales, in 1924, with whom he had two children. They moved to Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas, Mexcico, where he worked cultivating land. He continued in this line of work until he was "aged 106". His wife died around 2012, reportedly aged 104.
Castillo Rangel died of respiratory failure in Nicolas Bravo, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on 20 December 2017 at the claimed age of 121.
