Anneke (Johanna) van Dommelen-Hamer (20 October 1885 - 7 May 1996) was a Dutch supercentenarian whose age has been verified. At the time of her death, she was the oldest person in The Netherlands.
Biography
Johanna van Dommelen-Hamer was born on 20 October 1885 in the town of Groesbeek in the province of Gelderland, Netherlands. According to an article in a newspaper about her 100th birthday, it was mentioned that she always celebrated her birthday on the 20th of October, because according to Mrs. Van Dommelen-Hamer herself, she was born on 20 October at 0:05am, but her birth certificate from the municipality, wrongly, mentioned that she was born on 19 October at 23:00pm.
Eventually, Mrs. van Dommelen-Hamer passed away on 7 May 1996 at the age of 110 years and 200 days.
