Kim Geum-hong (Korean: 김금홍; 22 March 1899? – 26 March 2013) was a South Korean supercentenarian claim whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her age was true, she could be the oldest person who ever lived in South Korea.

Biography[]

Kim claimed to be born in Geumseong-myeon, Chungcheong, Korean Empire (present-day South Korea), on 22 March 1899. After she moved to Okcheon County, Chungbuk, she lived and worked as a farmer. Kim was a vegetarian.

In early 2000s, she moved to Yuseong District, Daejeon. Kim cheered the South Korea national football team during the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In 2009, she was reported as the oldest living person in Daejeon. She was taken to hospital in September 2012.

Geum-hong died on 26 March 2013 at 06:30 AM in Daejeon, South Korea at the claimed age of 114 years, 4 days.
