Lucy Hannah (née Terrell; 16 July 1875/12 August 1895? – 21 March 1993) was an American supercentenarian who is validated as the fourth-oldest person ever, supposedly one of only nine people to reach 117, and the oldest African-American person ever. At the time of her death, at the age of 117 (claimed 118) years, 248 days, she was the second-oldest living person behind Jeanne Calment (who was five months older than her) and is the oldest person to never hold the oldest living person record.
Her age was verified by the Kestenbaum Study. But recently, members of The 110 Club (a group dedicated to supercentenarians) have cast doubts on Hannah's claim to 117. According to the research found so far, she could have been born 12 August 1895.
