Marie Willan (née Neuerburg; 29 April 1906 – 25 November 2016) was an American supercentenarian who is currently unverified.

Biography

Marie was born on 29 April 1906 in Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota. She is the daughter of German-born Nicholas "Nick" and Louisa Neuerburg. As a young girl, Marie wanted to be a beautician, but when she graduated from eighth grade at St. Ann School in 1920, she was needed on the family’s Wadena farm, where she helped to care for her eight younger siblings.

She married Felix Harry Andrie on 10 May 1927 in Wadena, Minnesota. and the couple had one son, Roy. Their son was still alive at her 110th birthday. Marie was involved with clubs with other farm women who helped each other garden, can and sew. Her skills as a seamstress made her a good part-time employee for her brother Herb’s Singer Sewing Shop business. After retiring, Willan spent time doing one of her favorite things — fishing. Harry died and was buried on the couple’s 51st anniversary.

On 2 April 1984 she remarried to Lloyd George Willan in Cameron, Texas. Her second husband passed away in 1997. Until age of 107, she lived in an apartment at Humphrey Manor in Wadena. Two of her sisters lived on another floor. Marie was a Fair Oaks Lodge resident since 2013.

Marie Willan passed away on 25 November 2016 at the age of 110 years, 210 days.
