Myra Mildred Salk (née Jaffe; 3 November 1904 – 28 July 2017) was an American supercentenarian believed to be the oldest resident in Illinois at the time of her death.
Biography
Mildred was born Myra Mildred Jaffe in Chicago, Illinois as the daughter of Samuel and Anna Getz Jaffe. She grew up in Chicago and married her husband Charles M. Salk, a dentist, in 1927. The couple had one son, Jeremy, in 1930. Mildred was widowed in 1978.
Salk died in Chicago, Illinois on 28 July 2017 aged 112 years, 267 days.
