Sarah Patenaude Bruyere (born 20 February 1907) is a Canadian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is one of the oldest known living people in Quebec, Canada.
Sarah Patenaude Bruyere was born on 20 February 1907 in Russell, Ontario, Canada to parents Joseph and Marie-Louise (née Gebault) Patenaude. She moved to Embrun, Ontario and began teaching in the village's one-room school.
In 1929, Sarah married Prosper Bruyere in Embrun, Ontario, and had seven children with him: Raymond, Roger, Marcel, Jean-Guy, Bernard, Eleonore and Marie. Raymond passed away on 24 April 2017 aged 80.
At some point in her life, Sarah moved to Gatineau, Quebec. At her 105th birthday celebration, when asked what her secret to a long life was, she replied that she didn't know, but both of her parents lived long lives. Her father lived to be 88, her mother to 81. Sarah also drinks a glass of prune juice every two days.
Sarah Patenaude Bruyere currently lives in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, at the age of 111 years, 121 days. She is currently the third-oldest known living person in Canada behind Dolly Gibb and Henrietta Irwin.
