Walter Charles Richardson (7 November 1885 – 25 December 1998) was a validated American supercentenarian.

Biography

Walter Richardson was born in South Dakota to parents Charles and Mary Richardson. He later moved to Ogle County, Illinois, and married Ida Speeckeen around 1913. The couple never had any children.

Walter enlisted in World War 1 when United States entered the war in 1917-1918. Afterwards, Walter worked as the vice president of the Holcomb Bank in Chicago until 1948. Ida passed away in 1980. On the occasion of his 112th birthday, it was reported that he was in good physical and mental health.

Richardson passed away on 25 December 1998 at the age of 113 years, 48 days. He was the world’s oldest living man at the time of his death.
